for our home.
We have been living in Canada over the past 7 months and this can
be stressful while preparing our lives for our new life in Mexico.
Pedro has been constant with communication, up-dates, and photos.
In short, construction, design and engineering has been excellent,
he understands the last minutes changes that are needed.
In addition, his staff understands and communicates well in English,
Pedro has been a God sent with our very limited Spanish with such

few months ago I decided to look for the advice of Architect Pedro
Arellano and then carry out the remodeling or construction of a
new house. This turn in to one of the best decisions in my life
for several reasons:
His advice where very well founded in his experience and where more
than reliable. I decided to do the remodeling in my house located
on Av. de la Ribera # 186-A, Riberas del Pilar. His disinterested
support and flexibility in the economic aspect, matchless. The quickly

We are pleased to announce that in order to better serve members
of the Lake Chapala Community and theirs pets, we have constructed
the new Veterinary Clinic Siegrid, on the south side of the Carretera
in Riberas del Pilar. We have utilized the services of highly regarded
Architect Pedro Arellano Arroyo for the design and construction
of what we expect will be Lakeside’s number one state-of-the-art
veterinary facility. The clinic will offer services for pets of
all types and sizes including the in-house care of horses.
The clinic is to be based upon the services of Dr. Pepe Magaña and
his capable wife Siegrid, who speaks fluent English, Spanish and
German and is a popular dog breeder and groomer here at Lakeside.
Pepe was born in Chapala and has lived here and served the animal
community since graduating from University in 1980. Also involved
in the project is Jorge Angel Santana, an Attorney at Law and Entrepreneur,
who has lived in the Lakeside and Guadalajara areas for more than
25 years.
"Our choice of Architect Arellano was an easy one. He is renowned
for both his skill and integrity. Working strictly according to
the timetable we mutually established, he saved the investors’ time
and money, while not compromising in the least the quality of the
construction. Mr. Arellano designs and builds safe, quality constructions.

The first stage of construction, the first floor veterinary facility
is nearly complete, and soon everyone will be invited to an inaugural
ribbon cutting. A second grand opening will be held within a few
months, for the second floor multi-purpose conference room facility
and office large salon, capable of seating up to 100 (?) people,
will be suitable for meetings, sales programs, media presentations
and the like. There will also be two new office suites available
for rent.

When we arrived in Ajijic, we started to look for a place to establish
our future home. On the way, some friends in Guadalajara gave us
the name of Arq. PEDRO ARELLANO ARROYO, who we contacted for assistance
in finding a suitable property and the people best qualified to
handle all of the many different requirements that would be needed
to complete a smooth transition to a home of our dreams.
And now, after 4 months of working with Arq. Pedro Arellano Arroyo
we can say that in Mexico there are excellent professionals and

I think most people movng here to the Lakeside area from other countries,
to build their dream homes have a common problem; and that is anxiety
over who to use as their builder, one they can trust. My wife and
I were no exception. For months after we settled in to live in Ajijic,
we agonized over the long list of Architect-Builders, trying to
decide who to choose. Finally, one of our neighbors suggested a
gentleman by the name of Architect Pedro Arellano, he had designed
and planned their home.
I called Señor Arellano the following day and he made an appointment
to see me the same hour after our phone conversation. He presented
himself with a friendly, gentle attitude, so that it was so easy
for me to open up and show him my sketches that I had made of the
floor plan of my house. In the following days, he took my wife and
me around town and let us view a half dozen houses he had done.
These houses were in various states of development, some of which
were half done, some almost complete, and two that were finished
and occupied. From my careful observation and analysis of Señor
Arellano's work, and talking with the owners of his finished homes;
plus making comparisons of the work of two separate builders, comparing
the homes they had built, to Señor Arellano's, I finally decided
on Señor Arellano to build my house.
From the first week the construction began, the concerns we had,
some of which were passed on to us from concerned friends who had
used other builders to build their homes, pointed out various problems
that could come up in the course of building. These concerns vanished
as weeks and months passed by. The construction crews under Señor
Arellano show skilled ability in their work. At the current time
my home is only 50% complete, but can already envision my home to
look 100% better than I had expected.
During our construction period, our association with Señor Arellano
has not only blossomed into a very good professional relationship;
but one of a deep personal friendship. This is due in part to his
charming and easy going personality. We have adopted each other
as “Hermanos”.
My wife and I personally endorse Señor Arellano, for those who are
skeptical concerning the quality of construction that the Mexican
construction crews are capable of. Señor Arellano's construction
crews are highly skilled workmen, who take tremendous pride in their
areas of expertise They are friendly and kind in the process.
Señor Arellano knows what qualities foreign builders want in their
homes. He builds homes that are solid, pleasing to the eye, and
strong enough to withstand the test of time.

we didn’t want it to become a nightmare or end up spending twice

Building or renovating a home can be far more stressful, time consuming
and expensive than anticipated. Add to this the challenge of doing
this while living almost 2000 miles away and all these factors can
spiral out of control. When we first me with Pedro Arellano, we
discussed our ideas, wants and needs. He was very attentive, listened
to our thoughts, and a few days later presented a detail set of
drawings that incorporated our ideas as well as adding many details
we had not considered. Pedro took us to several homes that he had
built or renovated and we were impressed with the work that was
